6 Days Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap Tour

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City (D)

Upon arrival at Tan son nhat International Airport, you will be met by our Representative and welcome dinner will be served at Saigon cruise restaurant with live band, along the Saigon River at the end of the day. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City   (B/L/D)

After breakfast proceed to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. The drive takes 2 hours to reach the incredible underground network built by the Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. It took about 25 years to build this underground city, which has living rooms, kitchens, hospitals, weapon factories, storage facilities and command centre. The tunnel system was an excellent way for the Vietcong to move around the countryside undetected by the Americans and home to around 10,000 people who lived underground for several years.
Before we go underground, we watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch.
Afternoon visit The Old Saigon Post Office, The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Reunification Palace built in 1869 on the site of the former residential palace of the French Governor of Indochina. And The War Remnant Museumwith many exhibitions of the War in Vietnam-from the French times to the American wars. The People’s Committee Hall which were all build during the France colonial period. dinner at local restaurant. Free to explore Ho Chi Minh city by night.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City    (B/L/D) 

After breakfast, leave HCMC and departure to My Tho for exploring the specific culture of Mekong Delta, the largest rice basket in Vietnam. My Tho is home to ethnic Kinh people, as well as Cham and Khmer minorities. Explore this fertile region, Vietnam’s main producer of rice and tropical fruits, starting with a boat trip across the Tien River to Visit floating fish farms and markets on the 4 fabled islets of Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix. 
Up to island, visiting bee farm, orchards, enjoying tea, honey, seasonal fruits, Seeing the local traditional handmade trade and coconut candy making. Enjoying amateur traditional music performance. Taking a paddle – boat go along the small canal to explore local waterway life
Enjoy a lunch of delicious Mekong cuisine
Then proceed to visit Vinh Trang pagoda, built in early 19 century, this is a national cultural historical relic and also famous religious attraction. 
Return to HCMC. Then to Cho Lon - China town with Thien Hau temple built by Chinese emigrants in the 17th century. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap  (B/L/D) 

Morning transfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival Siem Reap International airport, transfer to have lunch at local restaurant. Visit Tonle Sap Lake. Take a boat ride to a fishing village to observe local lifestyles. See Les Artisan D’Angkor, a workshop that teaches the unique craft of wood and stone carving in the traditional style of classic Cambodian artistry. View sunset at Phnom Bakheng, which is the first major temple to be constructed in the Angkor area. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Siem Reap - South Gate Of Angkor Thom   (B/L/D)

Today’s programs highlight to the ancient walled city ~ South Gate of Angkor Thom, literally "Great City, "built in 12th century by Jayavarman VII, contains the famous Bayon Temple. This is a three-tiered pyramid with fifty-four towers and is quite an amazing sight, each of these towers is carved to depict over two hundred huge enigmatic faces of Avalokitesharva that bear down on you wherever you turn. Baphuon, originally a 43-meter tall, three tiered pyramid representing the mythical Mount Meru, suffered a series of collapses. In 1943, half the north face of the second and third tiers also suddenly crumbled; Terrace of the Elephant with its large sculptured royal elephants and Garudas, the mythical guard half-man, half-bird. Also within the walled area is the Terrace Of The Leper King, Phimeanakas, next visit to Ta Prohm one of the most spectacular temples in the Angkor area; moss and gnarled and entwined tree roots have broken their way through the centuries old stonework and cover this temple. Lunch at local restaurant. You will be free at own leisure for shopping at the local market. Continue to visit UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Wat ~ the magnificent remains of the Khmer civilization build by King Suryavarman II in the 12th century is the largest religious artifact in the entire world. Angkor Wat's rising series of five towers culminates in an impressive central tower that symbolizes mythical Mount Meru; thousands of feet of wall space are cover with intricate carving depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 6: Siem Reap - Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Free for shopping till transfer to airport for flight home. Goodbye!
